    Team Captain

We need you! With a goal of 5,000 bowlers, it is nearly impossible for Big Brothers Big Sisters staff to personally assist, motivate and encourage every Bowl for Kids’ Sake participant. Your help as a Team Captain is vital and greatly appreciated.

Teams are the backbone of a successful Bowl for Kids’ Sake each year. With your leadership, you can help focus the strengths and inspiration of your team members to reach far greater goals than most single bowlers can achieve alone.

First and foremost, BFKS is about understanding your agency’s programs and services and just how effective this program is for children in our communities.

Secondly, understanding why you are helping out. How have you been affected by the Big Brothers Big Sisters programs and services or how do you feel about supporting children right here in your community? Know that and you will raise awareness and funds with ease.

    Teammates can be found anywhere:

    • Co-workers
    • Family (you can have teammates anywhere in the world that they connect to the Internet and raise money)
    • Friends
    • Bigs
    • Littles
    • Parents
    • Fellow community service members from Rotary, Kiwanis, Optimist clubs
    • Church
    • Neighbors…
    • Virtually anyone, anywhere

The easiest way to make a team is to ask! If they decline, thank them sincerely for their time and consideration. Remember, frequently “no” means, “not now.”

Being a Team Captain is a great way to get others involved and motivated! Share with your team your energy and passion for Big Brothers Big Sisters and help your team reach their goal! After all, Bowl for Kids’ Sake is not about bowling, it’s about the kids.
